Set Among These Ancient Redwoods, Many Over 1,000 Years Old, We Are Anchored. The Sentinels Among Us Are A Reminder To Be Patient.

The hillsides they sit upon, the country roads that lead to and away from them, the coastal neighborhoods and townships, secluded cabins and yurts, dairies and dive-bars, oyster farms and harbors, and the people who inhabit them; these elements are the terroir of the Sonoma Coast.

Taylor Lane

OCCIDENTAL

Here is where Chamboulé began. This little piece of land. Fallow after having been timbered ages ago.

Before purchasing this piece of land, we descended deep into its soils. Our guide in doing so, Jacques Petit, had never seen such pristine soil in his 40+ years of digging around the planet.

Calm belies the tension of this site.

It is a feather in our cap.

Our first vintage from this site was in 2016.

Coleman Valley Road

OCCIDENTAL

When we were planting the Coleman Valley property, we unearthed fossilized sea shells 2½-5 million years old; nature’s souvenirs from when our site was buried under the ocean.

This vineyard site is the hub of Chamboulé’s social activities. We enjoy hosting family and friends at our Coleman Valley Road Vineyard House.

This estate vineyard site is currently under development.

Mt. Veeder

NAPA VALLEY

900 feet above the town of Napa, on Mt. Veeder, this estate vineyard site is our most recent attainment. Oaks, Madrones and Manzanitas comprise the vastness of this site. However it’s the fallow ground uniquely made up of ancient seabed and volcanic rock that originally drew us in.

In preparation for the future, we have started a small mother block sourcing some of the oldest and most pedigreed clones the Napa Valley has ever known. A tip of the hat to those who came before us.

Mont La Salle Monastery serves as a beacon to the historical significance of this area.

This estate vineyard site is currently under development.
